The City of Minneola Water Department produces an average daily production of 2.8 million gallons of water per day from the Floridian Aquifer. The water treatment and distribution systems provide water to approximately 3,824 customers in the city and surrounding county area.

The City's Water Department works tirelessly to provide the highest quality drinking water and service to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week from our office located at 304 W Pearl St. The services we provide to you are:

  • Department Administration

  • Water Treatment and Pumping Operations

  • Water Distribution System Repairs and Maintenance

  • Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Services

  • Grounds Maintenance of all Water Facilities

  • Water Quality Inspections

  • Customer Related Inquiries of Low Pressure, Water Quality and Leaks

  • Water System Renewal and Replacement

  • Water System Expansion Projects

  • New Utility Construction Inspections

Your water is very high quality from the aquifer and only requires a small amount of treatment and disinfection to safeguard the public health. Your drinking water is routinely monitored for many contaminants. All community water systems, including the City of Minneola, are required to report to you the results of these tests on our Consumer Confidence Report.

As a municipal utility, the City of Minneola has a responsibility to safely provide reliable, quality utility services to its customers. Every day our customers use millions of gallons of water without a second thought. We consider this a vote of confidence in your water supply system and we are proud to have earned your trust.

The City of Minneola has two water treatment Facilities:

  • Eastridge Water Treatment Plant

  • Oak Valley Water Treatment Plant

The Eastridge Water Treatment Plant has two wells which pump 2000 gallons per minute, a 300,000 gallons ground storage tank, three (3) high service pumps which maintain system pressure and a chlorination system that notifies operators of any problem 24 hours a day.

The Oak Valley Water Treatment Plant is our newest facility. This facility is very similar to Eastridge with two wells; however, the facility pumps 1600 gallons per minute and has a 5000,000 gallon ground storage tank.

Our water treatment system is looped so that either plant is able to provide water to the entire City. These  two "State of the Art" plants are more than capable of supplying our water needs now and in the future.

The St. John's River Water Authority Management District's water conservation and water restrictions rule applies to all areas of Lake County and must be followed by all residents of the County, including City of Minneola residents. Use of water by automatic and manual systems for landscape irrigation is prohibited between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm seven days a week, regardless of the water source. Odd numbered addresses may water on Wednesday and Saturday only. Even numbered addresses, or common areas, may water Thursday and Sunday only.
