Employee Core Values

The City of Minneola's employees share five core values.  These core values attest to what we as public servants believe in.

1. Honesty

   1. Being truthful, ethical, and principled.

   2. Being authentic.

   3. Taking a stand on important principles.

   4. Disclosing the entire truth.

2. Integrity

   1. Firm adherence to a standard of values.

   2. Saying what we mean and constantly doing what we say.

   3. Trustworthiness and incorruptibility.

3. Stewardship

   1. Protection and care for community resources for positive purposes.

   2. Accountability for the current and future use of community resources.

   3. Responsibility without possessiveness.

   4. Placing the needs of the whole before one’s own ends.

4. Respect

   1. Treating people with dignity and an attitude of caring and understanding.

   2. Show genuine concern for others.

   3. Valuing each individual for who they are as a person.

   4. Fostering an inclusinve work environment that celebrates the diversity of people, perspectives, and ideas.

5. Teamwork

   1. Practicing collective responsibility incuding selflessness and shared sacrifices.

   2. Focus on common objectives where everyone works toward a common goal.

   3. Cheer for each other.

   4. Trust each other and allow ourselves to be vulnerable including asking for help or saying you're sorry.

   5. Communicating honestly even when it is difficult to do so.

   6. Making decisions collaboratively.
