Building Department

The City of Minneola Building Division conducts plan reviews and inspections for structures throughout the city to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and building codes. The City of Minneola Building Services are provided by Safebuilt.

Permitting Counter Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

We are experiencing a very high call volume at this time. In the event a Permit Technician is not available to take your call, please send a detailed email, buildingservices@minneola.us.

Important Notice

Payment is cash or check only. The Building Department cannot accept payments over the phone. If you need to pay for a failed inspection, this needs to be paid by cash or check.

The Zoning Department does not accept digital submittals. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed major holidays.

Inspections:

To schedule inspections: Please send an email to buildingservices@minneola.us. Please include the date you are requesting, address, permit number, and type of inspection. The cut-off time for the next business day is 3:00pm. If you need to pay for a failed inspection, this needs to be paid by cash or check.

Are you looking to do any sort of construction or renovation project?

• A building permit is required if you plan to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish​ or change the occupancy of a building or structure. 
• A building permit is also required if you plan to install, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, provided the installation is regulated by the Florida Building Code (FBC).

Contractor Registration and Updates:

To update or register, we must have a copy of the Qualifiers License, General Liability, and Workman's Compensation Insurance. Please submit all required document via email to buildingservices@minneola.us in PDF form, Subject line "Contractor Registration/Update."
