Lake County Included in Phase Three of D-SNAP Benefits Program

Lake County residents can now apply for the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP). D-SNAP provides food assistance for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Ian and who are not currently receiving food assistance benefits through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Pre-registration is required by all applicants who seek to qualify for benefits. Applicants can then conduct a phone interview through the D-SNAP Call Center. Individuals and families need not visit an on-site D-SNAP event if they have completed a phone interview. Phone interviews are highly encouraged to help expedite service to eligible households. On-site interview locations will be announced by the Department of Children and Families.
