How do I apply for a zoning clearance?
You can apply for a Zoning Clearance by submitting an application and the required documents at the Zoning Department counter. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Closed major holidays.
What projects need a Zoning Clearance?
- New buildings, structures, or additions to existing buildings or structures
- Patio covers, breezeways, porch covers, and similar structures
- Patio enclosures, Screen enclosures, Pool enclosures, Bird Cages
- Fences – vinyl, metal, aluminum, wood
- Retaining walls and landscaping walls
- Decks, docks, gazebos, pergolas, and similar improvements
- Exterior spas, hot tubs, or swimming pools
- Storage structures and sheds more 160 square feet in area
- Generators
- Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)
